Vincent Laforet’s Blog

E-mail / Contact

Feedback, suggestions, links, ideas and criticism are totally welcome!  That being said: I already have a hard time keeping up with my regular e-mail as is…  so please make every effort to post any questions / comments etc. within the blog.  I WILL get to it eventually – and everyone else will benefit by having access to the information.

That being said – if you need to get in touch with me for business purposes you can of course get in touch with me through my main contact page on my website (

If you need to send me a personal e-mail regarding this blog (or a suggestion/link) – you can do so at:

blog (at)

Please don’t take it personally if I don’t get back to you right away.  When I’m at events such as the upcoming Beijing Olympics – it’s possible that I won’t get a chance to reply to one of these e-mails until after the games are completed… again – posting on the blog is definitely the way to go.  I will make a point of going through those posts as often as possible.

Lastly: If you MUST send an e-mail – please keep your e-mails short – if I only need a few seconds to type a quick response – your chance of getting a speedy reply increases exponentially.  If I have to think about the response – or write more than one or two sentences – then Oh Boy… it can be awhile… I’m not the type to “fire off” e-mails – it takes me time…

Also – if you put the word “CONFIDENTIAL” in your subject line – I will keep you e-mails confidential – i.e. if you e-mail me directly – I may respond to you e-mail on the blog (unless you ask me not to) – but won’t reveal who the original e-mail came from… trying to keep everyone happy.

Thanks for your understanding.

i’ve been taking (mediocre) photos ever since i was a teenager with my automatic minolta and i’ve never found myself a favourite photographer… til now! love your perspectives and how you’re completely unafraid of colour. i am completely inspired. thank you so much for sharing your photographs and thoughts.

Hello Vincent how do I send yo a question regarding 4K motion jpeg. Since you have connections with canon and i see you have been using the 1Dc camera. The canon eos movie utility for 1Dc work flawlessly for previewing 4K motion jpeg files. Who makes it? Now quicktime on a window machine works but not nearly as well and yet most editors use quicktime as a basis handling .mov files. Could softwear be made to help editing programs process 1Dc 4K motion jpeg with the efficiency of the Eos movie utility. Enjoy your blog all the best joe
